Wood-Fired White Pizza Recipe

Experience the deliciousness of wood-fired white pizza, where a creamy ricotta base meets rich mozzarella and fragrant garlic. With these ingredients, this pizza showcases the simple yet exquisite combination of flavors that come alive in a wood-fired oven. Let’s dig in!
Ingredients:
- Pizza dough (Click here for ilFornino’s dough recipe)
- 1 cup of ricotta cheese
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2-3 cloves of minced garlic
- Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon of dried or fresh oregano
- Optional: fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Directions:
1. Prepare the Topping:
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano until well combined.
2. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your ilFornino wood-fired oven to around 700°F (370°C).
3. Assemble the Pizza:
- Divide the dough into multiple portions, depending on desired pizza size.
- Roll out each portion on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick.
- Transfer the dough to a floured pizza peel.
- Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the dough
- Top with shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan.
4. Bake the Pizza:
- Slide the pizza into the preheated oven and bake for 2-4 minutes, rotating halfway through, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
5. Serve:
- Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
